Periodic verification of scales and weighing systems

Our company is accredited by BELAC for the control and verification of all class I to class IIII weighing systems in Belgium, up to 1500 Kg. (Accreditation: 415-INSP – Approval: P053)

Since January 1, 2014, the control of scales has been entrusted to private inspection bodies.

We can perform periodic verifications of your class III & IIII weighing instruments (medical scales, price/weight scales, weighing platforms, counting scales, etc.).

Theperiodic verification of scalesaims to regularly ascertain that the weighing instruments meet the technical requirements in terms of accuracy.

Theperiodic verification of scalesby an accredited body takes place:

• At the request of the holder.
• Every 4 years.

The scales subject to periodic verificationare notably those used for:

• Determining the price of a product based on mass, for direct sale to the public and/or for the preparation of pre-packaged goods.
• Determining the mass of a patient in the context of a medical diagnosis.
